PLUTO - PIATTAFORMA LESSICOGRAFICA
UNICA DEL TESORO DELLE ORIGINI

The Piattaforma Lessicografica Unica del Tesoro delle Origini (PLUTO) is set to become the new query system for the TLIO. The BTV, being the inaugural module of this platform, owes its development to the bibliography of citations meticulously compiled by Valentina Pollidori. Her invaluable contribution supported the textual corpus in GATTO, established at the OVI from the 1990s onward.

The Pluto version of the BTV not only ensures full interoperability with bibliographic databases (BdV, BCD) and other OVI resources but also envisions compatibility with external resources, particularly integrating entries from the MIRABILE portal of the FEF. Notably, Pluto boasts highly effective management and search functionalities.

The release of Pluto is structured in two phases: initially, the system will handle an XML-TEI encoded version of TLIO entries. This facilitates connections between data and searches in entries that were previously not feasible. Following the established model of other dictionaries developed from the LexiCad© framework (VSM, VD, VDL, VEV), this approach lays the groundwork for enhanced accessibility and interaction. In the second phase, an editing software akin to that of the aforementioned dictionaries will be crafted. This software aims to streamline the entire process, from retrieving documentation to writing, online dissemination, updating, and correction.
