Descrizione: Following IPERION CH, IPERION HS (Integrating Platforms for the European Research Infrastructure ON Heritage Science) is a consortium of 24 partners from 23 countries that contributes to establishing a pan-European research infrastructure on heritage science. The project is described as a further step towards a unified scientific approach to the most advanced European instruments for the analysis, interpretation, preservation, documentation and management of heritage objects.

Description:  In consideration of the role attributed by the EC to RIs for the development of the ERA and following the recommendations of linking the national agendas to the ESFRI Roadmap, elaborating national plans for an harmonised approach towards investments and use of RIs, H2IOSC will support the implementation of a coherent strategy for RIs development and integration in Italy, optimizing the use of the most relevant assets, upgrading and implementing the facilities, as a result of needs arising from the reference communities, gathered from a comprehensive assessment and prioritisation work. H2IOSC aims at creating a federated and inclusive cluster of RIs in the ESFRI domain of Social and Cultural Innovation to allow researchers from various disciplines in the Humanities, Language technologies and the Cultural Heritage sectors collaborate in data and compute intensive research.
OVI is in charge of the leadership of WP1 "Project and Financial Management, Quality Assurance" and WP4 "RIs Nodes and Resources Interoperability".

REMEDIA - REPERTORIO DI MEDICINA ANTICA

The project aims to create a philologically established corpus of medical-scientific texts with particular focus on various medical treatises, manuals of surgery and prescription pads in several Romance languages, and is accompanied by the writing of the related vocabulary entries, in parallel with the TLIO.

CHVA. CHARTAE VULGARES ANTIQUIORES

The research project (continuation of a project presented in 2012 and partially funded in 2014, which expired in 2017) aims to describe the phase of the first establishment of a writing tradition in the vernacular in the Italo-Romance area by cataloguing, reproducing and publishing the oldest (within the 13th cent.) written documents in each region, focusing on purely and entirely vernacular writings. It is proposed to reconsider each of the oldest texts in the vernacular from the different regions of Italy in terms of their specific nature, carrying out in-depth analysis from a palaeographical, philological and linguistic perspective. L’OVI is involved in the project for the setup of the textual corpus.

LIRIO - CORPUS DELLA LIRICA ITALIANA DELLE ORIGINI

The OVI collaborated at various stages of the FEF project “Early Italian Lyric Poetry (LIO). A Repertory of the Italian poetic tradition from the Sicilians to Petrarch.”. In particular, the OVI contributed to the creation of the incipit index of the printed texts (2005), and then of the textual corpus LirIO (2011, 2013). 
In 2013 an agreement was reached providing for further development of cooperation like the on-line publication of the corpus and its progressive integration with the corpus OVI.

RISE OF LITERACY

The Rise of Literacy project proposes to digitize rich textual materials from all partners and enrich material already on Europeana. This new material includes medieval manuscripts from the 4th to 15th century, printed books from the early 16th century until the end of 19th century, and periodicals and newspapers from the 17th to the mid-20th century. The project involves thirteen libraries and Eruopean institutions. Italy is represented by ICCU and OVI.  
OVI provides textual and lexical data, digitalizations of italian medieval literature manuscripts.

COVO. IL CORPUS DEL VOCABOLARIO ITALIANO DELLE ORIGINI: AGGIORNAMENTO FILOLOGICO E INTEROPERABILITA`

The project (PRIN 2015) is meant to update and edit the OVI Corpus and its connection with other sources on the web (TLIO entries; various copora available in GATTO; philological repositories).

MANOSCRITTI ITALIANI IN POLONIA: RICERCA, CATALOGAZIONE, STUDIO / WLOSKIE REKOPISY W POLSCE: POSZUKIWANIE, INWENTARZ I BADANIE

The project was part of the Bilateral Treaty of Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the CNR and the Polish Academy of Sciences and dealt with the classification and description of italian manuscripts held by polish libraries.

SM@RTINFRA-SSHCH - INFRASTRUTTURE INTEGRATE INTELLIGENTI PER L'ECOSISTEMA DEI DATI DELLE SCIENZE SOCIALI, UMANE E DEL PATRIMONIO CULTURALE

The OVI participates in this CNR award winning project by enhancing the contribution of the online publishing, in open access format, of all its databases, both textual and lexical.

ATLISOR - ARCHIVIO TESTUALE DELLA LINGUA SARDA DELLE ORIGINI

The project,  funded by Sardinia Region and coordinated by the University of Sassari, aims at the creation and sharing of the ATLiSOr corpus. In particular, the scope is to create a database of the Sardinian language of the origins to be queried online through the lexicographic software GATTO. The corpus contains Sardinian language texts from the origins to the end of 14th century.

DIVO - DIZIONARIO DEI VOLGARIZZAMENTI

The project DiVo was funded by MIUR in the framework of the research program FIRB Futuro In Ricerca 2010 RBFR10KX4O ("DiVo - Dizionario dei Volgarizzamenti. The Lexicon of the Translations from Latin into Early Italian: Philological Bibliography, Bilingual Lemmatized Corpus, Historical Dictionary").
The project proposes a comprehensive study on the medieval "translation lexicon" and includes all the vulgarizations of classical and late antique texts carried out by the end of the fourteenth century.
The DiVo Corpus is almost completely integrated in the OVI corpus.

ISCH COST ACTION IS1005 MEDIEVAL EUROPE - MEDIEVAL CULTURES AND TECHNOLOGICAL RESOURCES

Medieval Cultures & Technological Resources (Medioevo Europeo) groups experts from all over Europe to create a Virtual Centre for Medieval Studies: a virtual, team work space in which to collaborate, communicate and share work and research tools.
The OVI was part of the COST Action lexicographic workgroup dedicated to technological advances in the study of the Middle Ages.
